OpenDesign destroys Claude Design? OpenDesign destroys Claude Design in 11 days. That's the story today and it's a wild one. On April 17th, Anthropic launched Claude Design.

It's their new tool that turns a prompt into a real prototype slide deck or one pager. It runs on Opus 4.7. It's beautiful. It's powerful.

And it's locked behind a paid plan. You need Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise just to touch it. 11 days later on April 28th, a small team called Nexubio dropped Open Design on GitHub. Open source.

Apache 2.0 license. You run it on your own laptop. And here's the part that should make you sit up. It does most of what Claude Design does.

Some say it does more. Let me prove it to you. OpenDesign ships with 19 skills and 71 brand grade design systems on day one.
