Google Gemini's new updates change everything. Google Gemini just dropped brand new models and updates that changes everything. There's a new flash model, a new flashlight model, a new video model that edits videos with words, a notebook LM. It's not even called that anymore.

Stick around because by the end of this, you'll know how to use all of it today. Let me show you the first one. So I opened up Google AI Studio. I clicked into the playground.

I clicked models in the top right corner and there it was. Gemini 3.6 flash and Gemini 3.5 flashlight, brand new. Nobody had seen these yet. Here's what makes 3.6 flash special.

Google says it balances speed with intelligence. It's built for agentic tasks. That means tasks where the AI does stuff for you step by step without you holding its hand. It's also built for multimodal tasks.

That means it can watch videos, look at images, read documents, all of it. And flashlight, that's their fastest model for high volume work. If you're running hundreds of tasks at once, that's your model. Here's where it gets wild.

I compared 3.6 flash to the old 3.5 flash side by side. The new one is better and it uses fewer resources to run. But that's not even the best part. Look at the knowledge cutoff.

The old flash model only knew things up to January 2025. The new 3.6 flash knows things up to March 2026. That's over a year of extra knowledge. Bigger context window, same input, better output.

Okay, update number two. This one caught me off guard. Notebook LM has a new name. Go to notebooklm.google.com right now and you'll see it.

It's called Gemini Notebook. I know what you're thinking. Big deal. They changed the name, but they changed a lot more than that.

First thing, collections. You can now group your notebooks together. So if you've got 10 notebooks that all belong to the same project, you can finally put them in one place. You can even add emojis to them, which is a small thing, but it makes finding stuff way faster.

Now, hold on, because before I show you the next part of this, I need to say something. Here's the problem most people have. They open up Google Gemini, they type in a question, they get an answer, and that's it. They're using the most powerful AI tool on the planet, like it's a search bar.

It's rolling out to pro users on the web over the next few weeks. Third thing, it finally syncs everywhere. Your notebooks now follow you. You can make them in the Gemini app, open them in Gemini Notebook.

It syncs across both. And very soon they're bringing notebooks straight into AI mode and search. Here's how I actually use this. I dumped every single piece of content from the AI Profit Boardroom into one notebook.

That means you can make a video, then just tell it what to change, in plain English. Let me walk you through what I saw. You open it up, you can add system instructions. You can set the aspect ratio to 16 by 9 or vertical.

You can set the video length, the resolution, the frame rate, even the thinking level. But that's not the crazy part. You could upload a photo of your product and say, turn this into a 15 second ad that shows the main benefit clearly and ends with a strong reason to click. Oh, and one more thing.

While I was recording this, I refreshed Gemini across all my accounts. 3.6 Flash and 3.6 Thinking are now showing up everywhere. So they fully rolled it out while I was making this video. You found out about it in the first minute of this video.
