New Google Gemini Update is INSANE! (FREE)

Full transcript

New Gemini update is insane and a lot of it is free, that's what we're talking about today. Google just changed what Gemini can do, not a small update, a real one. Gemini can now talk with you, see through your camera and jump into your apps all in one conversation and a big chunk of it costs nothing. Let me back up, most people think Gemini is just a box you type questions into, you ask a question, it gives an answer, that's it, that's what it used to be, not anymore.

Gemini Live now sits right inside your normal chat, you can switch between talking and typing without missing a beat. So say you're texting Gemini about something and it's easier to just talk it out, you tap once and now you're talking, no new app, no new screen and here's the part that matters, Gemini connects straight into the apps you already use, comparing products, checking your emails, showing you a live map or pulling up a weather card right in the middle of your conversation. You don't stop talking to go check something, Gemini checks it for you mid-sentence, you can even show Gemini what you're looking at through your camera and it will turn that into a new image using Nano Banana right there in the conversation. Point your phone at something, talk about it, get a picture back, all in one flow.

This is rolling out globally on Android and iOS right now, not locked behind a paywall, not a small test group, global. Hey, if we haven't met already, I'm the digital avatar of Julian Goldie, CEO of SEO agency Goldie Agency. Whilst he's helping clients get more leads and customers, I'm here to help you get the latest AI updates and Julian Goldie reads every comment so make sure you comment below. Now here's where it gets interesting for anyone who makes stuff online, runs a business or builds a community because Gemini didn't just get a voice, it got eyes, hands and a memory.

Let's talk pictures first because this one's a big deal. Google has a personalized image tool called personal intelligence, it builds pictures based on things it already knows about you, pulled from your Gmail, your photos, your YouTube, your search history. You don't have to describe your own interests anymore, you just ask for an image of you and your favorite things and Gemini fills in the details itself. Here's the free part, this feature used to be locked behind a paid plan, not anymore, it's now open to everyone in the US at no cost.

That's a real shift, a tool that used to be exclusive just became available to regular users and it's opt-in the whole way. You choose which of your apps Gemini can connect to and you can turn the whole thing off anytime with one toggle, you're in control of what it sees. On top of that Google released a brand new image model called Nano Banana 2 Lite, it's built to be fast and cheap to run which means it's showing up everywhere, it's rolling out into the Gemini app, AI mode in search, Google photos and a bunch of other everyday tools people already use. So the image generation that used to feel slow and clunky is starting to feel instant.

Now think about who actually uses this, a small business owner making a flyer, a student turning notes into a diagram, a parent making a birthday card, this isn't a tool for coders anymore, it's a tool for anyone with a phone. Quick example, say you run a community and you need a new banner image for a post, you could say make me a clean modern banner for the AI profit boardroom that shows business owners using AI to save time. That's it, that's the whole prompt and you get something usable in seconds. I want to pause here because this is exactly the kind of shift I think a lot of people are sleeping on.

Every time one of these tools gets faster or gets free, the businesses that learn it first pull ahead. Not because they're smarter, because they're already using the tool while everyone else is still reading about it. That's what we focus on inside the AI profit boardroom. If you want to actually use tools like the new Gemini update to save time and automate parts of your business, that's what we walk through step by step, tool by tool as they come out.

We just covered exactly how to plug the new Gemini live features into daily business tasks so members aren't left guessing what to do with it. We showed how to use Nano Banana 2 Lite to build faster social posts and product images and how to turn a live camera conversation into content ideas in minutes. Members are already testing these exact features inside their own businesses and sharing what's working on our member map. Links in the description if you want in.

Okay let's keep going because there's more here. Google also released a new video tool called Gemini OmniFlash. This one's built for editing video using plain language instead of complicated software. You can ask it to make a scene more cinematic, add motion, change the camera angle, or clean up a visual detail just by describing it in normal words.

No timeline, no drag and drop, just a sentence. The two new tools were actually built to work together. You generate an image first with Nano Banana 2 Lite then hand that image to Gemini OmniFlash to turn it into a moving video. So the path from idea to finished visual just got a lot shorter.

Picture this, you want a short video showing what a normal day looks like inside the AI Profit Boardroom community. You could generate a still image first, describe the scene you want, then turn it into a 10 second clip all through conversation. No editing software, no learning curve. There's also a bigger version of this rolling out called Gemini Omni which lets you build a custom AI avatar of yourself and drop it into videos you create.

It's rolling out inside the Gemini app to Google AI subscribers who are 18 and older, though availability changes depending on where you live. So this piece is tied to a subscription tier, not the free layer, but it shows you where all of this is heading. Now here's something a lot of people are going to miss because it's quiet, but it matters. Gemini stopped just answering with walls of text.

For certain topics it can now show you a zoomable high resolution breakdown layer by layer or generate a short narrated video overview, usually 30 to 60 seconds long. Let's talk about why any of this actually matters beyond the cool factor. A year ago Gemini was mostly a text box. You typed, it answered, that was the whole relationship.

Now it sees your camera, hears your voice, edits your photos, builds your videos, and pulls live information from your other apps all inside one conversation. That's not a small update stacked on an old product, that's a different kind of tool and the free layer keeps growing. Google also opened up a free upgrade to Google AI Pro for students over 18 in a handful of countries, giving them the best model plus extra storage through the middle of this year. So it's not just image tools going free, whole tiers of access are opening up.

Here's the open loop I want to leave with you before we get to the last part. Every one of these updates points toward the same direction Google is building, an assistant that doesn't wait for you to ask the right question, one that watches, listens, and jumps in before you even finish your sentence. We're not fully there yet but you can see exactly where this is going and it's closer than most people think. So what do you actually do with all of this?

If you run a community or a brand, use the image and video tools to make content faster without hiring anyone or learning new software. The bar for making something that looks professional just dropped again. If you're just curious, open Gemini Live, point your camera at something in the room and ask it a question about it. That's the fastest way to feel the difference for yourself.

This is the part where I'll be honest with you, tools moving this fast can feel like a lot. I get it, you don't need to learn everything the day it comes out, you just need to stay close enough that you're not the last one to figure it out. That's the whole reason we built the AI Profit Boardroom the way we did. Every time Google or any major AI company drops something like this Gemini update, we break it down inside the community the same week.

Not theory, actual step-by-step walkthroughs on how to use Gemini Live, Nano, Banana and the new video tools to save time and bring in more customers. We've got coaching calls where you can bring your specific setup and ask questions live, a prompt library built around tools like this one and a way to connect with other members near you who are already using these exact features in their own business. If you want to stop learning this stuff a month late, the link's in the description. And if you just want the free version of what we do, come check out the AI Success Lab.

It's a free community, no cost to join. Inside you'll get the full breakdown of everything covered in this video, plus over 100 other AI use cases just like it. You'll also be joining more than 89,000 members who are already using AI to work faster and grow what they're building. Links in the comments and description for that one too.

I'll see you in the next one.
