New Gemini update is insane. Google just turned Gemini into your business manager. And I mean that not a helper, not a chat bot. You type into and forget an actual assistant that knows your business.
Here's what happened. Google just connected Gemini directly to Google business profile. That's the tool that controls how you show up on Google search and Google maps, your hours, your reviews, your photos, your customer questions, all of it. Before this, you had to log into a separate dashboard.
Every time you wanted to fix something, change your hours, reply to a review, check how many people called you last month. Now you just talk to Gemini Vishnu Sivaji, the senior director for the Gemini app said, once you connect your profile, Gemini becomes an assistant that actually knows your business using your reviews, your customer questions, and your performance data. That's a real quote from a real Google exec, not marketing fluff. Let me show you what this actually looks like.
You open Gemini, you type a business question and Gemini can pull your real search impressions, your direction requests, your call data and your customer engagement to tell you exactly how your business did this month. No spreadsheets, no dashboard hunting. You just ask. Same thing with reviews.
You ask Gemini to help you respond to your latest review and it drafts a reply in your brand's voice, referencing the exact thing the customer said, not a generic thank you for your feedback, a real reply, built off real words your customer used. And here's the one that saves the most time. You can ask Gemini to update your operating hours, post a seasonal update or find gaps in your profile. And it just does it.
It can handle your business hours, your menus, if you're food related, your photos, your attributes, like outdoor seating or wifi, your website links, even your booking and ordering links all from one chat. I want you to picture that for a second. You're closing up for the night. You remember your hours are wrong for the holiday.
Normally that's five minutes of clicking through tabs. Now it's one sentence. Okay. If we haven't met already, I'm the digital avatar of Julian Goldie, CEO of SEO agency, Goldie agency.
Whilst he's helping clients get more leads and customers, I'm here to help you get the latest AI updates and Julian Goldie reads every comment. So make sure you comment below. There's a second piece of this that's honestly bigger than the first. Google also launched something called business notebooks.
Think of it like a folder. Gemini never forgets. Each notebook holds your chat history, any sources you've added, your connected business profile and your website. And Gemini references all of it in every conversation.
So you're not re-explaining your business every single time you open the app. That fixes a real problem. Anyone who's used AI tools a lot knows this pain. You explain your whole business, you get help, you close the app.
Next time blank slate, you start over. Notebooks kill that. And it's not passive either. Business notebooks proactively surface key insights the moment you open them, like an unanswered customer question or holiday hours you forgot to set.
It taps you on the shoulder before you even ask. Okay, quick pause here, because this connects to something I talk about constantly. If you want to actually use tools like this in your business, that's exactly what we build inside the AI profit boardroom. We're not talking about a vague overview either.
We walk you through step-by-step how to connect Gemini to your business profile, how to get it drafting review replies that actually sound like you and how to set it up. So it's tracking your calls, your direction requests and your customer questions without you lifting a finger. We show you the exact prompts, not generic ones, the ones that get Gemini pulling real data instead of vague summaries. And it's not a one-time thing.
Every time Google rolls out an update like this, we're already inside testing it, figuring out what works and breaking it down for our members before it hits the mainstream. If you run a local business and you're tired of finding out about these tools six months late from someone who's already three steps ahead of you, this is where you catch up. Link in the description. Workflow one, turning customer questions into content.
Every business profile collects a Q and a section and most owners never touch it. Gemini can, you ask it something like, look at the questions customers have asked on my profile and draft clear answers for the ones that are still unanswered. It reads the actual questions people typed, not generic FAQs and writes replies in context. Say, someone asked if you have parking or if you take walk-ins, Gemini drafts the answer, you approve it, done.
Now picture doing that for every unanswered question sitting on your profile right now. The ones quietly costing you customers who click away without calling. This used to mean digging through a dashboard tab you probably forgot existed. Now it's one sentence and Gemini already knows your business well enough to answer like you would.
Small task, real impact because unanswered questions are one of the fastest ways people bounce off a listing before they ever reach your website. Workflow two, catching trends before they cost you money. This is the one most owners skip because it feels like reporting and reporting is boring, but you can just ask Gemini, compare my calls and direction requests this month to last month and tell me what changed. It pulls the real numbers and tells you in plain language, if calls dropped, if a certain day of the week is dead or if your maps for you spiked, no spreadsheet, no exporting a CSV and squinting at it on a Sunday, you catch a slump while it's still small instead of noticing three months later that something's been broken the whole time.
That's the real value here. It's not the data itself is that nobody was checking it before because checking it was annoying. Now it's a question you ask on your phone in 10 seconds. And that alone means more owners will actually start paying attention to numbers they used to ignore completely.
All right, back to it. Now let's talk about who can use this right now because there are real limits. This is rolling out globally, but not in the EA or the UK yet. It's rolling out gradually too.
So it may not show up for every eligible person right away. And there's a big one for anyone managing more than one location right now. This only works if you're the owner or manager of a single verified business profile. If you run multiple locations, you're not eligible yet.
I get why that's frustrating if you're a multi-location owner, but single location, small businesses, this is built for you right now. Here's why I think this matters more than most people realize. Google isn't just adding a feature, it's changing where the work happens. This pushes owners away from thinking in terms of fields like hours or phone number or category and toward outcomes like people can't find my menu or calls dropped last month or reviews are getting rough.
You stop managing settings. You start asking questions and getting answers and it's not stopping at Google's own app. Apple's new Siri launching with iOS 27 runs on Google's Gemini models under a deal Apple confirmed back in January. So the same model reading your business profile inside Gemini could be the same model answering, find me a plumber near me on someone's iPhone.
That's not a small detail. That's your business data feeding the assistant on both Android and iPhone. Either way, don't sit on this one. Google just handed local business owners a direct line to an AI that reads your reviews, knows your data and edits your profile in real time.
The businesses that open Gemini this week and actually use it are going to look completely different from the ones who wait six months to figure out what everyone's talking about. That's exactly what we focus on inside the iProfit boardroom. When updates like this drop, we don't just tell you it happened and leave you to figure out the rest. We show you the exact prompts to use with your business profile, how to set up your business notebook.
So Gemini actually understands your brand from day one and how to turn review replies and monthly performance summaries into something that saves you real hours every single week, not just once, but on an ongoing basis as your business changes. We've got members running the same approach across restaurants, home services, retail, all kinds of local businesses right now, comparing notes on what's actually working and what's just noise. That's the part most people miss doing this alone. You're guessing.
Inside the boardroom, you're seeing what's already been tested by people in your exact position. If you'd rather have the walkthrough than spend your evenings figuring it out through trial and error, that's exactly what we're here for. Link in the description. And if you're not ready for something like the boardroom, but you still want the short version, the notes, the exact prompts without joining anything or spending a dollar, come join the AI success lab instead.
It's completely free. You'll get the full breakdown from this video written out, ready to copy and use plus over a hundred other AI use cases just like it covering everything from marketing to customer service to stuff. Most business owners haven't even thought to automate yet. On top of that, you get access to a community of 89,000 plus people who are actually using this stuff day to day, testing it, sharing what worked and what didn't.
So you're never the only one figuring something out alone, no pressure, no upsell, just the resource sitting there whenever you want to use it. Links are in the comments and in the description below this video.
