Claude Orbit LEAKS are INSANE!

Claude Orbit is insane. Thropic just hid something inside Claude's code and people found it. It's called Orbit. And if the leaks are right, this is one of the biggest shifts in how AI actually works in your daily life.

Here's what we know, and what it means for you. So, researchers and builders who dig through app builds spotted something interesting inside recent Claude and Claude co-work updates. Feature toggle. Hidden.

Not turned on yet. But the code around it tells a clear story. The feature is called Orbit. And the people who found it also found something funny, but the internal gate that hides it from public view is called tbro-enabled.

Orbit. Belled backwards. Thropic literally hid it in plain sight. So what is Orbit exactly?

Based on what's been found in the code, Orbit is a proactive briefing and insight system. And that word, proactive, is the key word here. Right now Claude waits. You open it, you type something, it responds.

That's the model basically every AI tool uses today. You ask, it answers. Orbit flips that. The code shows Orbit connecting to Gmail, Slack, GitHub, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Figma.

And instead of waiting for you to ask about your emails or your calendar or your projects, it just tells you before you ask. It reads what's happening across all those tools and surfaces, the things that matter. Briefings. Insights.

Suggested actions. All generated automatically. Prompt. Question.

And here's the part that makes this interesting for anyone running a business or a team. The system is described in the code as time zone aware and opt-in. So Claude would know your schedule, would know your working hours. And it would deliver personalized briefings based on what's actually happening in your tools at that moment.

Think about what that looks like in practice. You start your morning. Before you've checked a single app, Claude has already read your emails, pulled your Slack messages, checked your calendar, looked at what changed in your projects overnight and gives you a summary. Here's what needs your attention.

Here's what's changed. Here's what you should probably do first. One sentence example. Imagine Claude scanning your inbox overnight and pinning the three most important client messages to the top of your morning briefing.

So the first thing you see when you open your laptop is exactly what needs action. That's Orbit. Now, and this is important. None of this is officially confirmed by Anthropic yet.

This is all based on code analysis from people who dig through app builds. The feature exists as a toggle in settings, hasn't launched publicly. So everything here is based on what's been found and what it appears to be pointing toward. The signals are strong.

Testing Catalog, which does serious deep dives into app builds, published a detailed breakdown. Multiple developers confirmed the same references independently. And the structure of what's been found matches a feature in late preparation. The kind of thing you see weeks before a launch, not months.

Back to the leak. One of the more interesting details that came out is this concept of Orbit apps. The code mentions the ability to deploy Orbit apps and pin your favorites for quick access. So it's not just a single briefing feature.

It looks like Anthropic is building a mini-app layer inside Claude. Custom mini-workflows you can deploy and surface quickly. What does that mean? It means Orbit might not just be one thing.

It could be a platform. A place where you set up specific automated views of your work, a daily client update, a project status check, a content calendar overview, and Claude just keeps those running in the background and surfaces them when they're relevant. That's a meaningfully different product than what Claude is today. And it's not just Anthropic doing this.

Testing Catalog pointed out that Google has been building similar groundwork inside Gemini. Plexity is doing it too. The idea of a proactive briefing layer, AI that comes to you instead of waiting for you, is becoming something everyone is working toward. Here's what makes Orbit different from what Google and Plexity are building.

The explicit inclusion of GitHub and Figma alongside Gmail and Slack suggests this is aimed specifically at people who build things. Developers. Designers. Product teams.

Claude code is already positioned for builders. And Orbit looks like it extends that into the project management and communication layer. So if you're someone who ships products, manages a team, runs client projects, this is aimed directly at you. There's also a separate leak that's worth mentioning.

Back in March, reports surfaced suggesting Anthropic was also testing Orbit as a mobile feature, not just desktop. The idea being that Claude could eventually handle tasks on your phone directly. Making calls. Sending messages.

Managing calendar events. All without you opening an app. That's a bigger claim and less confirmed than the co-work briefing features. But it fits the same direction.

Claude moving from something you interact with to something that runs underneath your interactions. Anthropic also has their code with Claude Developer Conference. It kicked off in San Francisco at the start of May. London follows on May 19th.

Tokyo on June 10th. Whether Orbit gets a formal announcement at one of those events or just quietly rolls out as a toggle you can enable, nobody outside Anthropic knows yet. What we do know is that the build activity around Orbit is consistent with something close to launch. Here's why this matters beyond just Claude.

Every major AI company right now is trying to solve the same problem. The current model for AI. You open an app. You type.

You get a response. Puts all the work on you. You have to remember to ask. You have to figure out the right question.

You have to know what you don't know. Proactive AI removes that friction. The AI monitors context. It understands what you're working on.

Knows what changed. And it brings the relevant thing to your attention before you've even realized you needed it. That shift from reactive to proactive is probably the most practical improvement AI can make for knowledge workers right now. Because the bottleneck isn't the quality of the AI's answers.

Bottleneck is knowing what to ask and when. Orbit appears to be Anthropic's answer to that. And the connector list matters too. Gmail.

Slack. GitHub. Calendar. Drive.

Figma. These are the tools that knowledge workers actually live in. This isn't about connecting Claude to random apps for demo purposes. This is Anthropic reading exactly where people spend their working hours and plugging into those specific places.

What do you actually do with this information right now? First, if you use Claude co-work, start connecting your tools. Get Gmail, Slack, and Calendar connected now. When Orbit rolls out as an opt-in toggle, you'll be set up to use it immediately instead of spending time on setup.

Second, think about what a daily briefing from Claude would actually look like for your work. What are the five things you check every morning? What information do you wish was already summarized when you sit down? That's the use case Orbit is being built for.

Tokyo is June 10th. If Anthropic is going to formally announce Orbit anywhere, it's at one of those events. The proactive AI layer is coming. Orbit is Anthropic's version of it.
