New Hermes Agent update changes everything. Hermes Agent just dropped a new update, and it changes everything about how AI agents work. What if I told you that you never need API keys again? That your AI subscriptions now work like real developer tools, and that one model now has a 1 million token memory?

This is not a small update. This is a whole new way to use AI, and I'm going to break down every single piece of it right now. Stay till the end because the last feature I show you is the one nobody's talking about yet. Real quick, what is Hermes Agent?

Hermes is an open source AI agent framework. Think of it like a command center. It connects your AI models, your browser, your desktop, your tools, and your workflows all into one place. Here is the part that makes it different from everything else out there.

It lets you reuse your existing AI subscriptions. So if you already have Claude Pro, ChatGPT Pro, or SuperGrok, Hermes plugs those right into your coding tools and automation pipelines. No extra accounts, no separate setups. You just use what you already have.

And this new update takes that idea and cranks it up to a level I did not expect. Let me show you. Hey, if we haven't met already, I'm the digital avatar of Julian Goldie, CEO of SEO agency Goldie Agency. Whilst he's helping clients get more leads and customers, I'm here to help you get the latest AI updates.

Julian Goldie reads every comment, so make sure you comment below. Alright, this is the big one. This is the feature that made me stop and say, okay, this changes the game. Hermes now has a local open AI compatible proxy.

You type two words into your terminal. Hermes proxy. That is it. And what happens is wild.

Hermes creates a local endpoint on your machine that looks and acts exactly like the open AI API. So any tool that expects an open AI connection can now use Claude Pro, ChatGPT Pro, or SuperGrok instead. Think about what that means. Tools like Ada, ClientContinue.dev, Codex, CLI.

All of these tools normally need their own API keys and their own setup. Now they just plug into your existing subscriptions through Hermes. This is a massive shift. Your AI subscriptions are turning into real infrastructure.

That is not hype. That is what is actually happening right now. And the best part? Takes about 30 seconds to set up.

You install Hermes, you run the proxy command, and your tools connect. Done. Now think about what this looks like in a real workflow. You are building a project.

You have Ada open for coding help. You have Client running for file edits. You have Codex CLI doing terminal tasks. For Hermes, every single one of those tools needed its own API key and its own connection.

Now you run one command and all of them talk to the same AI through your existing subscription. One setup. That is the kind of simplicity that changes how people build things. Now here is where it gets even more interesting.

First, if you want to learn how to plug tools like Hermes Agent into your actual business workflows and automate the stuff that eats up your time, you need to check out the AI Profit Boardroom. All right. Next big thing. Hermes now supports XIGROK with a 1 million token context window. Now, I know that sounds like a tech number.

Put it simple. Most AI models forget what you told them about five minutes ago. Have a small memory. 1 million token window means the model can hold an entire code base, a massive research document, or a multi-hour work session all in its head at the same time.

The model stops forgetting things. That is the simplest way I can say it. If you have ever been in the middle of a long AI conversation and the model starts repeating itself or loses track of what you asked earlier, this fixes that. With XIGROK through Hermes, you get persistent memory across your entire workflow.

Let me give you a real example of why this matters. You are debugging a big project. You have hundreds of files. With a normal context window, the AI can only see a tiny slice of your code at a time.

Keep having to re-explain things. You keep pasting the same files over and over. The 1 million token window, you dump the whole thing in. The AI sees everything.

Connects the dots between files that you did not even think were related. That is a completely different experience. And once you try it, you will never want to go back to the old way. And here is the open loop.

This is not even the wildest feature in this update. Wait till you see what they did with computer use. So before this update, computer use was mostly an anthropic thing. You could use Claude to control your desktop.

Cool, but limited. Now with Hermes, GPT models, Google Gemini, and Grok Vision can all control your desktop too. Multiple AI models can now see your screen, click buttons, type text, and navigate apps just like a human would. This is when AI agents start feeling like actual operating systems.

They are not just answering questions anymore. They are doing the work for you. Imagine telling an AI agent to go open your browser, find a specific piece of data, copy it, paste it into a spreadsheet, and format it. That is what this does.

Cross multiple models now. Not just one. And here is why having multiple models matters for computer use. Different models are good at different things.

One model might be amazing at reading messy webpages. Another might be better at navigating complex desktop apps. With Hermes, you are not locked into one model for everything. You pick the best tool for the job.

And if one model struggles with a task, you hand it off to another one mid-session. That kind of flexibility did not exist before this update. This one is super technical but super important. Before this update, when Hermes worked with images, it would convert the image into a text description and then send that text to the AI model.

Now the model gets the actual image. The real pixels. Not a summary. Not a description.

The real thing. Why does this matter? Because the AI can now actually see what is on your screen. Reads text better.

Understands layouts better. Makes fewer mistakes when controlling your desktop. Everything about multimodal AI gets more accurate with this change. Okay, this one is quick but it blew my mind.

The browser tool inside Hermes is now 180 times faster. How? Before, every time the AI agent did something in the browser, it had to reconnect to Chrome. Open the connection, do the thing, close the connection.

Run over. Now it keeps one persistent connection open. Agent just keeps going. No reconnecting.

Just works. If you are using AI for web scraping, browser automation or any kind of online workflow, this is a night and day difference. Agents spend less time waiting and more time doing. Now here is something that tells you where Hermes is heading.

They added Microsoft Teams integration. That means Hermes can now reply in channels, send direct messages and work with Microsoft Graph APIs. This is enterprise stuff. This is not just a hacker tool anymore.

This is becoming a real platform for businesses and teams. If your company uses Teams, you can now plug AI agents directly into your communication workflows. That is a big deal for anyone running a team or an agency. And think about what this means for team productivity.

You could have an AI agent sitting inside your Teams channel that answers questions, pulls data, summarizes long threads or even kicks off automated tasks when someone sends a specific message. Your whole team benefits. Not just the person who set it up. That is the difference between a personal tool and a team-wide system.

And Hermes just crossed that line with this update. Right, let me run through a few more things real quick because they packed this update. First, native Windows support. Hermes now runs on Windows without any workarounds.

That is huge for accessibility. A ton of people were waiting for this. Second, you can now install Hermes with one command. Pip install Hermes agent.

That is it. You are up and running. Third, there is a new handoff command. You type slash handoff and you can switch AI models in the middle of a session without losing any of your context.

So you can start a task with one model and hand it off to a more powerful one when you need to. For long workflows. And fourth, they added native X search. So you can search Twitter directly from inside Hermes.

Great for AI news, trend monitoring, and research. Now let me tell you why all of these smaller features matter when you put them together. Windows support means more people can use it. One command install means there is no barrier to getting started.

Model handoff means you are never stuck. And X search means you have live data flowing into your agent. Stack all of that on top of the proxy, the million token context, the computer use, and the vision upgrade. You are looking at a tool that went from interesting side project to something that can actually run your daily workflow end to end.
