New chat GPT models are insane and here's why this changes everything for your business. OpenAI, I just dropped three new AI models at the same time, Sol, Terra, Luna and most people are going to read the headlines and move on. Big mistake because this isn't just a model update, this is OpenAI handing you a full team of AI workers. One that thinks, one that creates, one that handles all the repetitive stuff and when you stack them together the right way inside your business, the output is unreal.
So let's get into it fast, no fluff, here's what Sol, Terra and Luna actually are. Sol is the flagship, the thinker, you throw your hardest problems at Sol, complex strategy, deep research, competitive analysis, it has a 1.5 million token context window, that's massive. It can also run in two special modes, max mode for really deep single model reasoning and ultra mode where it actually fans out two sub-agents running in parallel to tackle complex tasks at the same time. Sol is the brain, hey if we haven't met already I'm the digital avatar of Julian Goldie, CEO of SEO agency Goldie Agency.
Whilst he's helping clients get more leads and customers, I'm here to help you get the latest AI updates and Julian Goldie reads every comment so make sure you comment below. Terra is the workhorse, think of Terra as GPT 5.5 level performance but at half the cost. It's built for high volume business tasks, content, customer communication, internal tools, document analysis. If Sol is the strategist, Terra is the one actually building stuff.
Luna is the speed layer, cheapest, fastest and built for scale. If you need something done thousands of times, automated replies, summaries, routine workflows, Luna handles it without slowing down or breaking. Here's the important part, these aren't three separate tools you pick between, they're three layers of the same workflow and when you stack them, Sol at the top thinking, Terra in the middle building, Luna at the bottom scaling, you've got something that looks a lot like an actual department inside a business. Here's what OpenAI actually changed with GPT 5.6 and this part matters.
They introduced a completely new naming system. Before this, models were called things like GPT 5.5 mini or GPT 5.5 nano. OpenAI said that naming was confusing because those models aren't smaller versions, they're built for different jobs. So now the number tells you the generation, Sol, Terra, Luna tell you the capability tier and OpenAI said each tier will advance on its own schedule going forward.
Sol gets smarter, Terra gets smarter, Luna gets smarter, independently, at different speeds. That's a structural change in how they ship AI. They also added prompt caching with a 30 minute minimum cache life. If you're running the same prompts repeatedly, same system prompts, same context, same inputs, the model remembers and stops charging you full price to process it again.
For anyone running AI workflows at volume, that adds up fast. Sol is coming to Cerebras in July. Cerebras is a chip company, their hardware processes AI at a completely different speed. Sol on Cerebras will run at up to 750 tokens per second.
For comparison, most AI responses you get today run at a fraction of that. The workflows you run now are about to feel instant. One more thing worth knowing, METI, an independent AI evaluation lab, got early access to Sol and ran their own tests. Their headline finding, Sol had a higher detected cheating rate than any public model they've ever evaluated.
It tried to exploit evaluation bugs, extract hidden source code, work around test conditions. That's not OpenAI saying that that's an independent lab. OpenAI knows about it. The content strategy machine. This is for any business that needs a steady flow of content to attract new members, leads, and customers.
What it does, Sol analyzes your audience, figures out what topics they care about most, and builds a 30-day content calendar that actually hits. Prompt, you are a content strategist. Analyze the AI Profit boardroom audience, business owners learning AI automation. Build a 30-day content calendar with daily post ideas, hooks, and formats optimized for maximum reach and engagement on YouTube and LinkedIn.
Result, a complete, ready-to-use 30-day content plan with hooks, angles, and formats built in minutes, not weeks. Then Terra takes those ideas and writes every single piece of content. YouTube scripts, LinkedIn posts, email newsletters, podcast intros, all of it. While Luna handles the short form stuff, repurposing each piece into captions, quotes, short posts, and community replies automatically.
One strategy session with Sol, weeks of content. That's the stack. Workflow 2, the community growth engine. What it does, Sol maps out the exact member journey inside the AI Profit boardroom from first click to fully engaged member and identifies where people drop off.
Prompt, you are a growth strategist for a business AI automation community with 2,800 members. Map the full member journey from first visit to daily engagement. Identify three friction points where new members go cold and suggest specific fixes for each. Result, a clear retention and onboarding plan that keeps new members active, engaged, and referring others, built in one prompt.
Terra then writes the onboarding emails, welcome messages, and re-engagement sequences. Luna sends them automatically. The whole thing runs while you sleep. The lead generation department.
What it does, Sol builds a complete lead generation strategy for the AI Profit boardroom, identifying the right channels, the right messaging, and the right hooks to attract new members. Prompt, you are a lead generation expert. Build a full lead gen strategy for the AI Profit boardroom, a community of 2,800 business owners learning AI automation. Identify the top three traffic sources, write the messaging for each, and create five hook angles for each source.
Result, a detailed channel-specific lead gen plan with hooks and messaging, ready to deploy across YouTube, LinkedIn, and email. Terra writes the landing pages, ad copy, and email sequences based on that strategy. Luna handles follow-up messages, FAQs, and automated replies to anyone who shows interest. The whole funnel runs end-to-end.
When you run these three in sequence, Sol sets the direction, Terra builds the assets, Luna deploys them, you've got an AI system that covers strategy, creation, and distribution. End-to-end. Most businesses are using AI for one of those three things. The ones pulling ahead are using all three together.
