Google Pumeli just destroyed Canva Pro. Just dropped a brand new feature inside Pumeli that changes everything for anyone selling products online. It's called Catalog, which today. And if you've been using Canva to build your product campaigns one by one, this is going to feel like someone handed you a whole marketing team for free.

Here's what Catalog actually does. You paste in a URL, your product page, your store inventory, your full product list. Pumeli reads your entire catalog in one pass. Your product, all at once.

And then it generates batches of brand consistent product shots, ad creatives, and social media posts for your whole inventory, not one product at a time, once. That is a genuinely different thing. Before Catalog, you'd pick one product, build a campaign around it, download it, go back, pick another product, repeat. For a store with 20 products, that's 20 separate sessions.

Now you hand over your catalog URL and it does the batch in one go. Think about what that means if you sell anything online. A jewelry shop, a clothing brand, food brand with a product range. Instead of spending hours building individual campaigns for each item, Pumeli reads the whole lot and comes back with a full set of branded content for every single product.

Consistently on brand, minutes. This is still free, right now, during beta. So before I go deeper on Catalog, let me quickly catch you up on what Pumeli is and why this matters. Because if you haven't used it yet, you're going to want to understand the foundation first.

Pumeli is Google's AI marketing tool. Built by Google Labs and Google DeepMind. You go to labs.google.com Pumeli. You paste in your website URL.

Pumeli reads your entire site, your colors, your fonts, your tone, your images, and builds what Google calls your business DNA. Complete brand profile. Automated. Minutes.

No manual setup. Then from that profile, it generates complete marketing campaigns. Instagram posts, Facebook ads, YouTube thumbnails, email banners, Google ads. Branded to match your business.

In about 60 seconds, Canva makes you manually upload your logo, set your hex codes, pick your colors yourself. Pumeli reads it all automatically from your website. Canva Pro runs you $120 to $180 a year. Pumeli is completely free.

No credit card. No usage cap. No wait list. Google launched Pumeli back in October 2025.

Since then, they've been shipping fast. January 2026, they added Animate, powered by VO 3.1, Google DeepMind's video model. One click turns any static marketing asset into a branded animated video, ready for reels, TikTok, or video ads. February 2026, they dropped Photoshoot.

That's the one that hit 23 million views on X inside a few days. You take a phone photo of your product, doesn't matter how bad the lighting is, doesn't matter if it's on your kitchen table, and Pumeli turns it into a studio-grade product shot. Clean background, thick lighting, professional shadows and reflections, using a model called Nano Banana from Google DeepMind. Free.

Seconds. March 2026, they expanded to 170 countries. Then they expanded to the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland. And today, Catalog.

This is the one that product-based businesses have been waiting for. Because the problem with every other AI marketing tool has always been scale. You can generate great content for one product, but what about your whole store? What about when you're running a weekly drop and you've got 15 new items to promote?

Catalog solves that. Point it at your inventory URL. Jests everything. Comes back with a batch of brand-consistent assets across your whole product range, ready to download and post.

If you want to learn exactly how to use Pumeli's Catalog feature to automate your product marketing, build campaigns faster, and get more customers, come check out the AI Profit Boardroom. We've already got a step-by-step playbook built around Pumeli. Daily tutorials showing you how to use Catalog, Photoshoot, and Animate to grow your business. Now, let's get practical, because knowing what Catalog does is one thing. Knowing how to actually use it properly is another. Step one, before you touch Catalog, sort your business DNA. This is the bit people skip.

Your business DNA is only as strong as your website. If your site has inconsistent fonts, random stock photos, no clear color scheme, Pumeli reads all of that, and the output reflects it. Clean up your homepage first. Make sure your brand colors are consistent.

Make sure your written content actually sounds like you. Do that before anything else. Step two, go to labs.google.com slash Pumeli. Sign in with your Google account.

It's your website URL. Let it build the business DNA profile. View it. You can edit the colors, tone, and fonts manually if anything looks off.

Spend five minutes here. It affects everything that comes after. Step three, go to the Catalog tab. Paste in your product list URL.

Let Pumeli ingest your inventory. Then prompt it. Something like, create a social campaign for each product in this catalog. Tone, warm, and premium.

Platforms, Instagram, and Facebook. Be specific. The more context you give it, the better the output. Step four, while Catalog is running, use Photoshoot on your product images.

Take your phone. Photograph your products on any plain surface. Pick your template. Studio for clean e-commerce shots, floating for lifestyle, in use if you want AI-generated models wearing or using the product.

Download the results, and they automatically match your business DNA visual style. Step five, take your best Catalog campaign assets into Animate. One click, branded video content for every product. Ready for Reels and TikTok.

No editing software. No video skills needed. Step six, download everything and post. Pumeli doesn't publish directly.

No scheduling, no native posting. Download your assets, and use a tool like Buffer to schedule them out. That's the one friction point still in the workflow. Here's a real example of how this works in practice.

You run a skincare brand with 12 products. You paste your product page URL into Catalog. Pumeli reads all 12 products. You prompt, create a launch campaign for our full spring skincare range.

Highlight ingredients and skin benefits. Tone, clean, clinical, premium. It comes back with branded campaign assets across all 12 products. You run the hero shots through Photoshoot.

You animate the best ones. You download everything. You've got a full spring campaign for 12 products in under an hour. Consistent, on-brand, free.

That used to require a designer, a photographer, a copywriter, and a week of back and forth. Now let's talk about what's coming because Catalog isn't the end of where Google is taking this. Google is also testing a feature called Websites inside Pumeli. Still early, but the direction is clear.

Pumeli is moving toward generating full landing pages and marketing sites with hosting potentially handled by Google itself. That would mean Pumeli reads your brand, builds your campaigns, runs your Catalog, creates your photography, animates your content, and builds your website all in one place, all free. When that lands, Pumeli stops being a content tool and becomes a complete marketing stack. And it puts Google directly against Wix, Squarespace, and every other website builder out there.

Google IOs on May 19th and 20th, two weeks away. Websites looks like a strong candidate for the stage. Watch that announcement carefully. Now, be honest about what Pumeli still can't do because it's not perfect.

Output quality can be inconsistent. Some generations feel slightly template influenced, especially if your business DNA isn't set up cleanly. The February 2026 update improved this a lot, but it still happens. It's English only right now.

If your market isn't English speaking, you're waiting. No direct publishing. You download and post yourself. And Catalog, because it's new, will have rough edges early.

Inventory pages with unusual structures or very minimal product descriptions will give it less to work with. The cleaner your product page, the better the Catalog output. Here's the honest picture of where Pumeli stands today. Free, no design skills needed.

Reads your brand automatically. Generates platform-ready content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Ads, and email. Creates studio-quality product photography from phone photos. Animates your content into video in one click.

And now, generates full campaign batches across your entire product Catalog at once. Canva Pro is $120 to $180 a year. It has more templates. It has direct publishing.

More design precision. Not read your brand from your website. It does not do your product photography. It does not animate your content.

And it absolutely does not batch campaigns across your whole Catalog. For product-based businesses without a design team, Pumeli with Catalog is the better starting point right now. Today, and we're only seven months into this tool's life, October, basic campaign generator. January, animate drops.

February, photo shoot drops. March, 170 countries. April, EEA, UK, Switzerland. May, Catalog drops.

Google is shipping fast. The pace here is aggressive and it shows no signs of slowing down. Google IOs in two weeks. If you sell products online and you're still manually building one campaign at a time, go to labs.google.com slash pumeli right now.

Put your website in. Build your business DNA. Then hit the Catalog tab. Paste your product page URL.

See what comes back. Minutes of setup. Then let it run your whole Catalog. Decide the AI profit boardroom right now.
